2023 Fall Turkey Preorder ($25 reserve fee)

Our program offers turkeys that are slaughtered in the end of October/beginning of November, and frozen before pickup.  We do not carry our program into late November as its impossible to know the weather.  Seasons tend to start cooling down abruptly this time of year, which is not good for the turkeys or the farmer.

Free Ranged Eggs

Our eggs are from beautiful and healthy hens.  Their diets consist mainly of whatever they forage on their own along with a supplement of Non-GMO grains.  They are in the fresh air all the time and have full access to fresh water from the Clinch Mountain system we are nestled into.  There is no comparison to the quality when putting our eggs against grocery chain eggs.  We invite you to try them out for yourself and see what you think.

Natural and Regenerative

During the spring, summer, and fall, our chickens and turkeys move around the farm in a mobile coop.  This "egg mobile" allows us to not only move them over fresh pasture and meadows daily, it also allows us to fertilize our hay fields and pastures, naturally and without chemicals.  This system keeps us from accumulating piles of  unwanted manure on the farm which then need industrial methods of containment and disposal.

Non-GMO Feed

All of the Non-GMO feed we use on the farm for our poultry operations is from Sunrise Farms, and is supplied to us by Wolf Farm Natural Elements, a local organic feed and garden store in Abingdon, VA.

Meet Sarah, Owner and Operator

Sarah has been taking care of our laying hens as long as we can remember.  From a young age, if she went missing, you would always find her in the chicken coop.  It was only natural that she would eventually have her own ideas about how she wanted it to grow, and what birds we were raising.

As we established a nice laying flock for sale production, Sarah started learning about turkeys and other birds that she wanted to venture into.  Out of that came our turkey program which she solely owns and operates here on the farm.  From poult to plate, Sarah is the dedicated caretaker of the turkey on the farm, and the quality of her devotion shines in the quality of the products she makes.

Not only does Sarah want to raise the poultry on our farm, her goal with her efforts is to establish a reputable reputation as a breeder for hatching and raising all of her flocks in the years to come.  Eventually she will have all the ability to offer chicks, pullets, fertilized eggs for hatching, exotic breeds and much more.

All of your purchases from us here on this page will help her realize these goals, and help create a great sustainably service to our community.
